Tracy Chapman, LMHC, LPC

The expert in your situation is you, and I am here to listen with compassion and respect. When you are in session with me, I want you to feel welcomed, safe, and to trust that I am here to walk alongside you. I believe that sometimes the simplest change can make the biggest difference in our lives, and I place great value in seeing each client as an individual - unique and valued. My focus is on helping you discover your strengths as well as heal and grow in the areas where you struggle. Ultimately, I want to help you find hope in your journey.

Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.
— Brené Brown

First of all, I have to introduce my fur babies! Boomer is a 9 yr old rescue pup and Piper is a 5 yr old rescue kitty. They love each other, and like siblings, they love to annoy each other too! Don’t be surprised if we are on tele-health and they make a cameo appearance.

I’m a real person! I am a wife, a mom, a daughter, and a sister. I love kayaking, hiking, running, biking, and anything else that gets me and the family outside together.

What I help with

  • A mental condition characterized by excessive apprehensiveness about real or perceived threats, typically leading to avoidance behaviors and often to physical symptoms such as increased heart rate and muscle tension. Anxiety is treatable!

  • An extreme sadness or despair that lasts more than days. It can interfere with the activities of daily life and can cause physical symptoms such as pain, weight loss or gain, sleep disruptions, or lack of energy. It can cause inability to concentrate, feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt, and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide. Depression is treatable!

  • Trauma is the lasting emotional response that often results from living through a distressing event. Experiencing a traumatic event (small or big) can harm a person’s sense of safety, sense of self, and ability to regulate emotions and navigate relationships.

  • No matter the cause, distress in a relationship can lead to many problems including codependency, stress, unhappiness, depression, fear, and anxiety. You may hope for relationship troubles to go away on their own, but honestly, relationships take work. If you feel stuck, let me help!

“It’s never overreacting to ask for what you want and need.”
